Askole is the last inhabited village before the road ends and the Baltoro Glacier begins. Every expedition attempting K2, Broad Peak, the Gasherbrums, or the Trango Towers passes through our village.

Founded and directed by native Balti mountaineers and expedition leaders, Askole Expeditions eliminates unnecessary middlemen. When you plan your expedition with us, you are communicating directly with the team who prepares the camps, manages the high-altitude porter caravans, and guides you safely across the glacial ice.

Small Group Ratios

We cap our trekking groups at a maximum of 12 participants and mountaineering teams at 8 climbers. This guarantees individual medical oversight, flexible pacing, and personal attention from our lead guides.

High-Altitude Cuisine

Caloric intake and digestion at 4,500m+ are vital for stamina. Our trained mountain cooks prepare three fresh, high-nutrition hot meals daily with fresh vegetables, soups, and traditional Balti bread baked at base camp.

Full Permit Handling

We handle all complex paperwork: Ministry of Tourism royalties, CKNP environmental passes, military clearance for restricted Baltoro zones, and Pakistan mountaineering visa recommendation letters.
